They are often hidden within dangerous dungeons or guarded by formidable foes, reflecting their potent nature. To unlock their secrets, heroes must travel to the Altar of Mars, a sacred site where the barrier between the mundane world and the realm of Alchemy is thinnest.

It hummed with heat, not from fire, but from something far older—the lingering breath of the Ancients. 'This is it,' he whispered, feeling the warmth radiate through his gauntlet. The Altar called to him, a silent promise of power that could burn away the darkness. He stepped forward, ready to awaken the strength of Mars.

Reader's Guide

In gameplay terms, Artifacts are Key Items collected throughout Weyard and beyond. To utilize their potential, players must visit the corresponding elemental Altars. For Mars powers, visiting the Altar of Mars is required. Once activated, possessing specific artifacts enables characters to use powerful offensive abilities in battle or explore new areas. These often include high-damage fire attacks or defensive barriers that protect the party from enemy elements. Strategically, these items are vital for late-game progression. They allow Psynergy users to bypass obstacles like locked doors, break indestructible walls, and defeat bosses with elemental weaknesses. Collecting them is a core objective of the main quest.
